Safeguarding

Nordic Star Nurseries  is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We expect our staff to also share this commitment. We have a legal duty to recognise and respond to any signs of abuse.

This includes :

• Changes in a child’s behaviour
• Deterioration in their general well  being
• Unexplained marks or bruising
• Signs of neglect
• Comments children make that are cause for concern

Nordic Star Nurseries  promotes awareness of Safeguarding amongst staff through:

• Providing training
• Having an accessible Designated Safeguarding Leads -Alice McNair and Emma Fleckney 
• Ensuring nursery staff have access to Safeguarding policies and procedures
• All staff involved in recruitment, follow Safer Recruitment processes.

You must report any concerns you have to the Designated Safeguarding Leads.
